Turn back the clock and discover a firmly modern flat with 1950's design.

The architect August Perret didn't let anything to chance, in spite of huge emergency and budget pressures linked with after war rebuild.


Concrete was selected for economic reasons but alo for its reliability and its durability. The interiors had been designed on exacts proportions to feel comfortable and avoiding load-bearing walls to be easily afdapt aroud family life which was quite revolutionnary in 1925.

In 1947, Perret selected René Gabriel's furnitures for the living room, André Beaudoin's for master bedroom and Marcel Gascoin's in 1957 for kids ' rooms. These industrialized furnitures were conceived with smooths facades in order to ease dusting, it also comes with feet to ease sweeping and with relevant inward facilities. For instance, the closet had shirts' drawers, clothes rails for ties. It has nothing to envy to IKEA furnitures !
